Please read.

I have just put a could of posts on about Pets Passports and the TIE Cards. This information is from the British Embassy in Madrid.

To make sure you are aware regarding these two items, can I suggest you have a look to see if they may apply to you.

Thank you.

TIE Cards. Important

At the beginning of June more than 150,000 UK Nationals had applied for their Withdrawal Agreement TIE - that's both those swapping from the green certificate, as well as brand new applicants. If you're not one of them, both we and the Spanish Government recommend doing so as soon as you can. It explicitly states your rights under the Withdrawal Agreement. It makes day-to-day administrative processes, including border crossing, easier. It's got your photo on it, it's more recognisable and it's more durable. For more details about how to apply or exchange see the Spanish Government's Q&A: https://www.inclusion.gob.es/ficheros/brexit/guia_brexit_2020_en.pdf.oFB_IMG_1629117557345

Those of you with pets are probably aware that travelling with your cat or dog may have changed from 1 January, depending on where your pet’s passport was issued and where you are travelling to. If you have a pet passport issued by Spain or another EU member state, you can use it to travel with your pet to Great Britain and elsewhere in the EU.

However, a GB-issued EU pet passport is not valid for travel to the EU or Northern Ireland. You should speak to your vet before you travel to get the necessary pet travel documents and ensure you’re compliant with the EU Pet Travel Regulations (https://ec.europa.eu/food/animals/movement-pets_en).

You can find more information about taking your pet from Spain to Great Britain, travelling with your pet in the EU and travelling with your pet to Northern Ireland at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/living-in-spain#pets.FB_IMG_1629117007672
