Went to the post office yesterday to find it closed. Open again this morning.

I asked Juan why the post office is closed odd days. He says he is due 15 days holiday from last year, if he does not take it he loses it.
Albox say they have no one to cover his holidays, so rather than close for a week, he is having 1 day a week. I have asked him to let me know, what day he will be closed each week, so I can let people know not to make a trip to find it closed.

To my wonderful husband Derek who sadly passed away on 3rd February 2021. We had just celebrated our Diamond Wedding Anniversary. We shared a wonderful life together, we are lucky to have had a daughter Elaine, son Nigel, and four lovely grandchildren Matthew, Jessica, Lauren and William.

Today at 4.30p. UK time and 5.30pm Spanish would you please join our wonderful family and our friends Pauline and Drew to toast to the life of this wonderful, husband, pops and friend. Good night, God bless, Sleep tight I love you always until we meet again. 

This virus is a killer, also Derek went into hospital three weeks ago, I was not allowed to see him, not even at the end was I able to hold his hand, say goodbye or even hold a funeral. So please, please take notice of the restrictions, take care and stay safe.

In our Magazine I have started articles each edition, focusing on one or two local businesses. This is so our readers can know  more about them. They will be Spanish & Non Spanish. In the latest magazine, Coviran is featured.

I have been asked by a number of people if I would post the article on here. It is written by Lola from the Store.

Coviran is a small business cooperative from all over Spain. Coviran Arboleas is a small company that belongs to three partners, their names are: LOLA, MANOLO AND PACO. We have 8 workers, their names are: Cati, Maria Jesus, Ioana, Laura, Eliana, Maria Jesus Junior, Ana Mari and Antonio.

The establishment receives produce every day. Monday, Wednesday and Friday we receives products from the Coviran headquarters, although in situations like the ones we are currently experiencing, it also delivers on other days. Fresh milk is received on Friday mornings, although sometimes it is also received on Tuesdays if the stock is required.. Yogurt is received on Friday morning, although it can also be received on Tuesday.  International providers deliver every 15 days and I have several that they bring items from different countries (Germany, England, Holland, Italy, France and Norway)

Meat deliveries are every day.

The fruit is bought in stores in Cuevas del Almanzora and almost all of it is national.  We rely on fruit that is grown in Spain, we do not sell fruit from other countries like some competition does and that is why the prices they have are sometimes low.  We also do not sell fruit that has had wax applied to the skin to make it look more beautiful.  The fruit usually arrives to us on Monday and Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon. In the exceptional situation that we currently find ourselves, it comes to us every day.  We have no problem changing any fruit if customers have taken it and it turned out badly, (instead of criticizing on social networks, which is very easy, they could come and tell is and we will replace.).

We are human and we can make mistakes, but if someone comes with a mistake that we have made, we always try to solve it. We always try to get the products that our customers demand and we always try to help them.

Prices can sometimes be higher than the competition because we are not a multinational or a large company and the purchase volume is not as large as the previous ones. But the previous ones do not have the assortment of products that we are trying to have to offer to our clients.

We like to get involved in local charities and always give our full support to requests for help and assistance.
