Andalusia will stop requiring the Covid passport from Tuesday.
The Minister of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía, Jesús Aguirre, announced this Saturday that the rule that requires having the Covid passport in the region to access nightlife, hospitality, health and social health establishments will decline this Tuesday.
"On the 15th (this Tuesday) the extension that was requested for the Covid passport is fulfilled, we are not going to request the renewal, then the Covid passport obligation for nightlife, restaurants, health and social health establishments will expire. From this Tuesday it will no longer be mandatory in Andalusia", Aguirre stressed in statements to the media in Córdoba.
The Covid certificate or negative diagnostic test for coronavirus for access in Andalusia to the interior space of hospitality, leisure and recreation establishments has been in force since December 20. Regarding visits to health centers with internment and residential social health centers, it was required from December 7.
However, it will continue to be mandatory to be able to travel to certain countries, something that transcends the powers of the Board and depends on the agreements that Spain signs at the national level or through the European Union.
Aguirre explained that this decision is made because both the incidence and hospital pressure are falling, with around 600 fewer hospitalized for Covid in a week. "The decrease in hospital pressure indicates that the sixth wave is in clear remission and we hope to reach a stabilization phase in 10-15 days," he pointed out.
Regarding primary care, the region is in the "normalization phase", to the point that the counselor has ensured that the Salud Responde telephone system "answers anyone who calls". Thus, the average delay is 3.76 days to be attended, which "falls within the normal range."
Regarding seasonality and the impact of the virus in the future, he has said that "possibly the virus will stay and have small peaks, coinciding with the time of high attendance, especially autumn-winter."
Asked about the celebration of Holy Week this year, he elaborated that he expects "a calm, relaxed spring, greeting us, with the odd noise as is so typical of our autonomous community", but that "if some measure has to be taken, will take."

The JDPs are back. Yesterday was the opening day for our Benjamin women's basketball team and for the Benjamin futsal team. The basketball girls began their experience in Olula del Río with great enthusiasm for the consecration of the local female basketball sports school, where around 20 girls have participated during the course and in which some compete in this league. 11. For the City Council of Arboleas it is a success to have this large group of girls practicing sports, which we hope will increase. On the other hand, the Benjamin futsal team made its debut with a 6-1 victory against Serón and a 3-6 defeat against Chirivel. We thank all the mothers and fathers who came to encourage their children and the children of Arboleas for their good behavior during the day. From the City Council of Arboleas we welcome these children and let them know that they will have the full support of this entity to promote healthy habits. Finally, next week will be the debut of the other two teams that this year participate in the futsal JDP. Congratulations for this good day to the girls and boys and see you in the next one!
Los JDP están de vuelta. Ayer fue la jornada inaugural de nuestro equipo de baloncesto femenino Benjamín y del equipo de fútbol sala Benjamín. Las chicas de baloncesto comenzaron su experiencia en Olula del Río con mucha ilusión por la consagración de la escuela deportiva local de baloncesto femenino, donde han participado durante el curso unas 20 chicas y en la que algunas compiten en esta liga. 11. Para el Ayuntamiento de Arboleas es un acierto contar con este numeroso grupo de chicas practicando deporte, que esperamos se incremente. Por su parte, el equipo benjamín de fútbol sala debutó con una victoria por 6-1 ante Serón y una derrota por 3-6 ante Chirivel. Agradecemos a todas las madres y padres que se acercaron a animar a sus hijos ya los niños de Arboleas por su buen comportamiento durante la jornada. Desde el Ayuntamiento de Arboleas damos la bienvenida a estos niños y les hacemos saber que contarán con todo el apoyo de esta entidad para fomentar hábitos saludables. Finalmente, la semana que viene será el debut de los otros dos equipos que este año participan en la JDP de fútbol sala. ¡Felicidades por este buen día a las niñas y niños y nos vemos en la próxima!
