From. Mike Page at the Town Hall. There is nothing nicer as a dog owner than seeing your dogs run free in the countryside. However they should be on a lead, we are now approaching the breeding season for the wild animals and birds, January though to May, dogs running free are a major disturbance to this process. No different to any other country land is owned by someone whether there is a fence or not. A land owner or hunt official has the right to shoot a dog on his land. If your dog is running though crops or disturbing the breeding season of the wild life you are running the risk of an unhappy ending. So to enjoy your walk, dogs on leads and stick to rambla walks and official green roads of which there are plenty, respect the countryside and others who use it and then we can all enjoy it together.
