Today I had the pleasure of meeting this lovely Spanish couple who had come to the aid of this little boy.
They picked him up off the road disoriented & dehydrated in Macael.
They took him to a local vet who checked him for a microchip which he didn’t have.
They went around locally asking people if anyone had lost or knew the owners of this dog but were told he had been in the area for about a week but no one owned him.
They published him on their page & took him to Macael Ayuntamiento but no one had reported him missing & said all they could do was send him to the local dog pound.
The couple took him home & he has been with them for 3 days with no one coming forward.
So he today came into our care & was given a health check & worming by our vet & has gone to the groomers as his coat especially his underbelly is very matted with lots grass barbs embedded.
Big thanks to this couple for helping him in the first instance & their kind donation of 50€ towards his ongoing care.
